Extending Daikin’s low GWP scroll range up to 1010 kW, the latest new air-cooled chiller with R32 scroll compressors offers a low carbon solution for a range of process, industrial, IT and comfort cooling applications.
Launching this month, Daikin’s second generation of R32 cooling-only chillers delivers high full- and part-load efficiencies with an increased capacity range up to 1010 kW (compared to the existing 704 kW) within a new, compact footprint offering a reduction of 275 mm in size.
Fully integrated features and benefits
Innovative new features incorporated into the new R32 chillers offer optimised performance. These include a new Daikin fan with an innovative design that increases air flow and offers a low sound solution with higher efficiency. A full metallic compressor enclosure with soundproof insulation presents an improved aesthetic and protects the compressor, while reducing sound by up to 4dB. The latest range also provides a Rapid Restart feature, integrated sequencing capability and performance monitoring: options previously available only on screw units.
More flexibility
The new R32 air-cooled chiller range is available in Silver- or Gold-standard efficiency versions, each in two sound configurations to offer maximum flexibility in operation. A wide range of operating temperatures from -12°C up to 30°C accommodates diverse uses. All models are compliant with current requirements for Comfort Cooling.
The new range also includes fully integrated Hydronic Free Cooling, making it ideal for Data Centres and other mission-critical applications.
Access via a new Daikin mobile app, introduced with the new range, simplifies system monitoring and management.
Working together to reduce carbon in processes and buildings
Daikin’s objective is to deliver maximum operating and energy efficiency while reducing emissions through the use of lower GWP refrigerants and improved lifecycle performance. 89% of emissions produced from chillers arises from equipment energy use. R32, the standard for Daikin’s Bluevolution solutions, is easy to handle and requires substantially less refrigerant, at the same offering a significantly lower GWP compared to R410A, the current alternative for chillers.
