Brussels, December 18th, 2024 – Daikin, global leading heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) company introduces its innovative ERA range of condensing units. The series provides all the benefits of the R-410A, while working with the lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) R-32 refrigerant, contributing to lowering the carbon footprint of the HVAC system.
About the product
The ERA condensing units are connectable to Air Curtains and Direct Expansion (DX) Air Handling Units (AHUs) for fresh air and air recirculation applications. The full solution pre-treats fresh air, ensuring optimal comfort conditions whenever fresh air is introduced into indoor spaces.
For installers and consultants seeking smarter, more efficient and lower carbon solutions, the new ERA condensing units set a new standard. Designed to simplify installation and enhance performance across various applications, the ERA range combines advanced technology with versatility and sustainability, enabling professionals to achieve exceptional results while meeting the highest energy efficiency and environmental requirements.

Key product benefits
- Energy Efficiency: ERA units are equipped with energy-saving inverter technology that optimizes power usage, reduces operating costs, and promotes energy conservation.
Advanced Comfort Control: ERA units respond quickly and reliably to temperature fluctuations, providing a consistent and comfortable environment, making them ideal for commercial spaces needing reliable climate control.
Versatile Applications and Scalability: The ERA range supports diverse applications, including fresh air handling and recirculation, suitable for air curtains and Direct Expansion (DX) air handling units. It offers flexible capacity options that can be combined in multiple circuits (up to 120 kW).
Extended Flexibility through the available Control Methods: A wide range of control methods (for both recirculation and fresh air treatment applications) is available in a common control box.
A lower carbon footprint: The ERA series uses R-32 refrigerant, with a considerably lower GWP compared to R-410a systems.
The updated F-Gas regulation allows for full serviceability of HVAC equipment until end of life of any application with R-410A or R-32. However, as of 2032 R-410A units can only be serviced with recycled and reclaimed R-410A.
