Daikin Emura: Setting the benchmark

This latest Award acknowledges the further enhancements delivered by the new generation Daikin Emura 3.

In a class of its own

The third generation Daikin Emura has a unique 3D shape incorporating curves and soft shadow lines, representing a harmonised airflow, that together create a distinctive visual effect which brings the indoor unit to life. Designed to blend in, the new indoor unit is now even more compact, with a 10% reduction in overall width. The addition of a new matt black finish to the existing silver and white alternatives offering more flexibility in matching interior design schemes.

The redesigned outdoor unit incorporates a new horizontal front grille, reducing the visibility of the inside fans, while the ivory white casing reflects the sunlight to prevent overheating in summer.

Incorporating the latest technology, Daikin Emura offers intelligent airflow ensuring a constant temperature throughout, while a new heat boost function helps reach set temperatures faster for instant comfort.

Daikin’s Bluevolution technology with low GWP R-32 refrigerant and class-leading A+++ seasonality performance delivers low running costs with optimum efficiency in use. Also, built-in purifying filters and Flash Streamer technology improve indoor air quality to keep homes healthy.

Simplicity and accessibility are key to the Daikin Emura user experience. Sleek new handheld remote units, colour-matched to indoor units and mountable alongside feature a limited number of buttons and easy to use menu for the convenience of users, with more complex features and remote control capabilities available via the Onecta app.

Commenting on the Award, the third this year for Daikin Emura, Hiroyasu Kosuge, brand designer Daikin Technology and Innovation center,  said

“Our innovative products and solutions are designed to improve people’s health and well-being and reduce the environmental impact of heating and cooling. The Good Design Award endorses our technical and product design capability in delivering ongoing customer comfort and satisfaction while working towards carbon neutrality.”
