Brussels, 4 May, 2023 – Daikin Europe N.V.’s subsidiary Daikin Airconditioning Germany GmbH becomes an official partner of the German Handball Federation and Handball Bundesliga. The partnership was signed in a ceremony in Berlin on April 30, 2023. The initial term of the contract is one year, with plans for a long-term partnership. Germany is home to the world’s top handball league and Daikin is market leader in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC&R) such as energy-efficient heat pumps, air conditioners and purifiers.
World’s top handball league and market leader Daikin join forces
By sponsoring the second largest team sport in Germany, Daikin will actively promote handball in all its facets, while getting brand attention from a broad fanbase in Germany and across the globe.

Ceremonial signing of the partnership agreement in Berlin
On April 30, the official signing of the partner agreements between Daikin Germany and the German Handball Federation and the Handball Bundesliga took place in Berlin, at the Max-Schmeling-Halle.
Before the men's international match against Spain as part of the EHF EURO Cup, Takayuki Kamekawa, Vice President Daikin Europe N.V., Filip De Graeve and Masaharu Tada, Managing Directors of Daikin Airconditioning Germany GmbH, as well as Mark Schober, Chairman of the Board of the German Handball Federation and Frank Bohmann, Managing Director of the Handball Bundesliga met on the pitch and made the joint partnership permanent with their signatures.
