Yes, you can still use the local API of the adapter after the move to Onecta. The local API function for devices that are currently on Daikin Online Controller (DOC) will not be lost. However, Daikin does not officially support these integrations.
Yes, at the moment you can still use the Daikin Online Controller as back-up, but only in-home. The Daikin Online Controller will shortly be phased out, however, but as the issues with Onecta have now been resolved you can have confidence in this new platform which is regularly improved and updated.
No, that's not true. You will be able to migrate from the Daikin Online Controler (DOC) to Onecta. All adapters and units that are compatible with DOC are compatible with Onecta.

While the IFTTT (If This Then That) home automation platform is no longer supported on Onecta, the most commonly-used IFTTT functions have been integrated into the Onecta app, including voice assistants such as Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can also easily integrate other leading home automation solutions such as Niko, Somfy, Homey, Octopus Energy and Hive Energy, with many more to come in 2024.
