E- Commerce Business Developer EMEA

Ostend -  Belgium

Within the EMEA headquarter, digital marketing is responsible for the setup and coordination of digital technologies and innovations to support our sales persons to grow sustainable business and to make it easy and fun for our customers to do business with Daikin. This in close cooperation with our affiliated companies throughout the EMEA region. Within the past years Daikin Ecommerce platforms have been successfully setup and rolled to our sales network.

As we are just at the beginning of our Ecommerce journey and as we still see a lot of growth opportunities and potential (for both B2B & B2C sales) we are looking for an experienced Ecommerce business developer to reinforce the Ecommerce team.

Location

This position can be based in Brussels (Anderlecht) or Ostend but with frequent travel between the 2 sites

 

Job content

As a Ecommerce business developer you will be in charge for the further growth of our Ecommerce (B2B and B2C) platform within the EMEA market.  

Your role includes:

  • As a business developer you are the driving force to further increase the online product sales through our B2B and B2C Ecommerce channels (own channels + marketplaces).
  • You are up to date on the latest innovations and evolutions related to Ecommerce and you are continuously looking for opportunities to further improve our Ecommerce channels.
  • Creation of the yearly budget plans (targets) and the follow up of the actual results together with the different stakeholders (business units, affiliated sales companies)
  • Setup monthly action plan/budget meetings with the different affiliated sales companies to increase the adoption and the turnover of their Ecommerce platform (in line with the set targets).
  • Prepare the reporting and communicate the targets and actual results towards the different stakeholders (sr. management, affiliated sales companies,…)
  • Monitor the customer experience of the different Ecommerce channels and use it as a base for defining improvement plans.
  • Create and animate a Daikin Ecommerce community on European level.

 

 

 

Profile

  • Master degree in (commercial) engineering, economics, IT or similar with proven experience.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the area of Ecommerce for an international company with a B2C focus.
  • You have experience and insights on  Ecommerce processes and techniques  to increase the adoption, the conversion and the sales volumes.
  • You have experience with online sales through marketplaces.
  • You have strong analytic skills.
  • You have good communication skills and are a team player, but you can also work independently.
  • You’re not a fan of status quo, you’re continuously looking for improvements and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge of another European language is a plus.
  • You are OK with short stays abroad.
