Keep the technology outside – and enjoy the cosiness indoors

Daikin launches new additions to Daikin Altherma Monobloc series.

Daikin is poised to launch the first in a series of updates to its popular Daikin Altherma Monobloc Low Temperature C-Series with the introduction of new, more powerful models (available with or without an integrated backup heater) this spring.

Complementing its successful EBLQ/EDLQ C 5-7 kW C-Series, the new larger capacity models will be available from May of this year in 11,14 and 16kW variations. Updating the EBLQ/EBHQ/EDLQ/EDHQ – BB Series, the extended C-Series offers a single high-performance system that fits all applications and is characterised by its superior efficiency, outstanding flexibility of choice and ease of installation.

Higher performance and now even more environmentally friendly

The advanced low-temperature Monobloc C-Series achieves significantly higher performances, with improved seasonal efficiencies securing an ErP label rating of up to A++. The new models are compatible with the EKHWS-D Series stainless steel hot water tank launched in 2017, which carries an improved energy efficiency B rating and offers up to 30% lower standing losses than the previous EKHWS-B series.

The Monobloc C-Series is capable of operation in temperatures as low as -20°C, making it suitable for use in colder climates and provides 33% more capacity at low ambient temperatures down to 7°C. With a maximum leaving water temperature of 55°C, these latest models are ideal for new build applications featuring underfloor heating.

More products, more choice

The extended Daikin Altherma Monobloc low temperature C-Series offers a choice of no less than 24 models. Delivering a wide range of power options from 5kW right through to 16kW, the range includes reversible and heating only models, available as single or three-phase variants. Installers will be able to select between models with no additional heater or the integrated solution with backup heater of 3KW from within a single family of products.

Worry-free installation

Installation couldn’t be simpler with the new Daikin Altherma Monobloc Low Temperature C-Series. All hydraulics are included within the outdoor unit for faster, easier installation. In addition, a sealed refrigerant unit eliminates the need for additional refrigeration connections. These improvements, together with a user interface, wiring control centre, and backup heater kit, not only offer more flexibility in installation but also has the advantage of a 36% smaller unit, opening up more possibilities for placement.

The new larger models feature the same controls which provide smart, responsive heating control and optimal control for the 5 to 7kW range.

The Daikin Altherma Monobloc EBLQ/EDLQ-C R410A (size 11,14,16 kW) is due to launch in May. To offer improved flexibility, additional models with integrated BUH will be launched in August as an extension of the existing EBLQ/EDLQ-C 5-7 kW series.
