Daikin Group member Tewis relocates after Valencia floods

Valencia, 10 December 2024 – Daikin has announced the relocation of its Tewis factory for commercial refrigeration. The relocation follows recent heavy rains and floods in the region that damaged Tewis' production facilities, ensuring continued operations. The new manufacturing activities will be established in Náquera, while Tewis' offices will remain at their current address in Paterna, Valencia, Spain, 13 km from the new premises.

Tewis, member of the Daikin Group, is known for its expertise in CO2 refrigeration systems. The production facilities of Tewis were severely damaged by the floods in the region of Valencia at end of October 2024. In November, the company assessed the damages and took measures to assure continuation of service levels to the market. The company has now decided to move to a new location, which will allow fast full capacity recovery on one single location. The transition to the new premises is starting the week of December 10th. During the transition, Tewis will continue to meet market demands through temporary facilities and collaboration with other Daikin Group members.

"The swift response and support from Daikin have been crucial in minimizing the impact of the natural disaster on our customers and employees. We extend our gratitude to everyone involved for their efforts and collaboration. This relocation underscores Daikin's commitment to supporting Tewis and maintaining confidence in our capabilities.", says Dries Laheye, Managing Director of Tewis.
