If the heat pump fails, is the domestic hot water still guaranteed by electrical heater?
Yes! The factory parameters in the system ensure that the electrical resistance is operational in the rare case the heat pump has an error.
- Advantage: the customer does not need to do anything to continue their supply of heated water.
- Disadvantage: the customer may not realise that the heat pump is in trouble (e.g., in months when air conditioning is not required), but receive a higher electricity bill at the end of the month.
- Recommendation: change this parameter from automatic to manual during start-up. This means the customer can easily trigger the electrical resistance, but quickly sees the error.
