Make the jump and install a heat pump
The Daikin Altherma 3 H HT is a perfect fit for your renovation project. Because it delivers a leaving water temperature of 70°C, similar to your boiler but without the use of an additional electrical back-up heater, you don’t need to replace your radiators. Changing your heating system from a boiler to Daikin Altherma 3 H HT will help you save space.
Designed to withstand the coldest climate conditions
European weather can be tough sometimes. That's why we designed the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT to work in "heat pump" mode only, down to -28°C outside temperature.
What is great inside, should look good outside…
That is why Daikin developed a dedicated design for the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT outdoor unit.
Its flat casing eliminates complexity, while it new horizontal black grill covers the entire front plate and hides the single fan from view, reducing therefore the perception of the sound level.
The mat grey casing reflects the color of the wall behind for more discretion. The design meets the needs of modern society expectations and blends in beautifully.
A light grey casing slighty reflecting the environment where the unit is installed, helping the unit to blend in
The casing reflects the colour around it, for instance red brick wall will create a slight red colour over the unit
The unit is a high capacity unit (over 10 kW) and for these units, Daikin had so far double fan units. We have now replaced these 2 fans by one single and larger fan. The casing in total is smaller.
This outdoor unit received the IF and Reddot design awards 2019.
In standard sound mode,
The unit produces a sound pressure of 38 dBA at 3 metres, so somewhere between birds chirping and the inside of a library. On the other hand, the low sound mode reduces by 3 the decibels the sound pressure generated at 3 metres, representing a real reduction of half the sound level!
Want to hear the real sound level of the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT?
Daikin Altherma 3 H HT is also showing impressive and “over the top” heating performances at low ambient temperatures. Meaning: when the outside temperature is going down, the unit is still able to deliver a decent capacity in heating compared to competitors or previous models.
We designed the Daikin Altherma 3 H HT to work in "heat pump" mode only down to -28°C outside temperature. The unit can keep 70°C by -15°C outside temperature. Such achievements are usually done by boilers using fossil energies. A heat pump is a renewable solution.
Moving from a boiler to a heat pump means switching to a totally green solution. No more fuel or gas is burned and energy is produced in a renewable way, heatpumps generally reduce CO2 emissions by 70%. The difference is visible on your bill and your return on investment can occur after just one year!
