Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is a subsidiary of Daikin Industries Limited, a Japanese multinational operating worldwide. One of the biggest producers and suppliers of HVAC-R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) solutions, including heating pumps and cooling technology. The company delivers innovative, first rate indoor climate management solutions in order to meet the changing needs of its residential, commercial and industrial clients.

DENV is Daikin’s sales, development, and production headquarter for Europe, Middle-East and Africa comprising headquarter, 8 production plants, 19 sales subsidiaries, 5 sales offices and a whole network of independent distributors and dealers across the EMEA region.

Part of DENV is also Belgium based Daikin Europe Coordination Center and Warsaw based Daikin Europe Business Support.

Daikin Europe Coordination Center serves as an in-house bank for Daikin Europe Group and as such is responsible for funding, hedging, banking and cash-management activities for the whole group. The Treasury department is also a key business partner for company-wide operations and projects, including – but not limited to – M&A, ERP implementations and upgrades, J-Sox and compliance.

We are currently looking for a candidate to work in our newly opened office in Warsaw – Daikin Europe Business Support (DEBS) but who will be part of European Treasury department.

Job Content

As Treasury Officer you will be part of DEBS team but reporting functionally to the Treasury Manager in Belgium. After a first intensive training period, you’ll be involved in the following activities:

  • Front-office: contact point of bank partners and sister companies for treasury matters, managing the group treasury position, hedging foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity and credit risk…
  • Mid-office: cash-flow and exchange and interest result analysis, reporting and forecasting, calculation of the weighted average cost of capital for investment decisions and valuations, profitability analysis, compliance controls (IFRS, J-sox, EMIR…)…
  • Cost controlling: budget and follow up of the operational costs of Daikin Europe Coordination Center
  • Support in small Finance related projects


You have a Master degree in Economics, Commercial Science or Commercial Engineering. A first experience in a Financial environment is a plus. You are good with numbers, have a critical mind and an ability to think out-of-the-box. Sound IT interest and/or experience (SAP FI, BI and Excel) are strong assets. A true team player, you can take initiative, are tenacious and can work efficiently and accurately. You can work fully independently and escalate if required. You are a fast learner who can communicate fluently and are dynamic and enterprising. You also have a good command of written and spoken English. Occasional trips

for projects abroad (after the first year of training in Belgium) (max. 10 percent travel within Europe) do not represent a problem.

You can count on an exciting career within a multinational company, world market leader in its sector. We foresee extensive training/coaching and guidance of approximately 1 year which will happen in our Headquarter office in Oostende in Belgium. After the training period of 1 year (approximately from September 2020) your will be based in Warsaw, Poland.
