What attracted you to join Daikin?
From the 1st year of mechanical engineering study, I had strong interest in HVAC systems and Daikin is always appealing to me in the sector. Even when writing my thesis, I have always chose HVAC related topics and of course put Daikin as my career target. I am always amazed with quality of the products. But I did not know how would it be working in Daikin. Right now, I am quite satisfied and happy to be the part of the Daikin family.
Experiencing Daikin culture, how is this experience helping you to grow and develop professionally?
Everyday I am having new challenges and learning new things which is quite important to improve myself. Daikin culture is one of the most important point why I like to work in Daikin. Everybody including my colleagues and my managers are always being helpful and supportive. This motivates the collaboration and creates a synergy, and it of course increase the efficiency of the work.
Why is the traineeship good opportunity for young people, what can they expect to learn and experience?
This is a quite unique chance for everybody. I believe seeing the different perspectives of the company, it helps you to understand overall picture. It also super important chance to create your network from different departments to have better communication. When you are a global trainee, you will learn many things. I definitely recommend it.
How was the situation during Corona period?
At the current moment, I am in Strategic Planning and we are working on F25 process. In this challenging times because for Corona Virus, I believe as a team we had great communication and this kept us up to date. We sometime even had a online coffee break with my teammates.
Online tools helped a lot to have our meetings to follow up. We created some workshops online which was planned face to face. I believe it was a quite success to collaborate all together and create some outputs. I also believe our new future is required adapting the changes in a timely manner. And this unpredicted changes shows us most (maybe all) of our colleagues are agile enough to adapt. I am proud to be the part of Daikin.

Daikin being a large global company boasts an enriching multicultural environment which helped me attain a global perspective and opened my mind in many ways, both professionally and personally. Although what enticed me the most about the traineeship was the flexibility and the constant encouragement I received throughout, to try out different things and not be hesitant in taking initiatives whilst exploring many facets of this organization.
Starting my Daikin journey with Consulting Sales in VRV followed by Applied, my teammates dedicated set time to mentor me in every way possible and allowed me to work on some real projects side by side. Even during the unprecedented times of COVID19, the work from home sessions remained interactive and synergetic.
Daikin is a growing multinational company with expanding businesses all over the world and remains at the forefront of HVAC industry which gives you a chance to come up with new ideas and test your leadership qualities. And the traineeship gave me the chance to do just that.
I would recommend the Daikin traineeship to aspiring young adults from all educational backgrounds who desire to keep an open mind and thrive on challenges. This is a perfect chance to know where your strength lies while learning a lot in the process about the company and immerse in the vibrant Daikin culture.
I can say with confidence that I have gained a lot from this experience and more importantly forged some great relationships with people which will stay with me forever.
