Job description

The COLD CHAIN Business Unit of Daikin Europe NV (DENV) is the coordination center for the development of the Refrigeration business globally.

This business segment has been steadily growing over the last years and to realise our ambitious long term goals, we are looking at strengthening our organization.


Within the Cold Chain Business Unit, the Commercial Refrigeration Department, oversees the strategy, business development, sales and marketing for the Refrigeration products and Refrigeration solutions, in a wide array of market segments.

We support our Affiliates and Distributors to market our products globally, and steer them to reach leadership for Refrigeration products and Refrigeration solutions.  

In order to drive effectively the business strategies and to contribute to the growth of the segment, we are currently looking at filling the position of Business Development Manager, located in DENV headquarters in Brussels – Belgium.

Your function

As Commercial Refrigeration - Business Development Manager, you are taking an active role in the elaboration of the commercial strategies, and you are leading the sales initiatives that will contribute to achieve the sales targets, as part of the roll-out of the defined strategies.

In this respect, you will be intensively involved in:

·       The elaboration of the Commercial Refrigeration yearly budget with the sales entities, as well as the execution,

·       The participation to forecasting activities to match sales leads with manufacturing capabilities,

·       The promotional activities and MarCom initiatives,

·       The New Product introductions, to ensure acceptance and sales ramp-up,

·       Providing input from the market regarding product/service development needs,

·       Pricing positioning,

·       The Reporting activities

To do this effectively, you are supported by a team, including Business Development Officers.

Your profile

·       You can prevail form a solid experience of Sales Management in a BtoB environment,

·       You pertain strong organizational skills,

·       Full of initiative, and pro-active, new challenges are stimulating to you, and you are always ready to evaluate new opportunities,

·       You are communicative - definitely in English. Other European languages are a plus,

·       You are open minded and a Team player

·       With a minimum education level of Master degree, you have a proven commercial appetence, and an clear interest for technology

·       Experience in our industry sector is a plus.
