Daikin recognised as one of the world’s most innovative companies
Daikin Europe N.V.’s parent company Daikin Industries Ltd has once again been included on Forbes’ World’s Most Innovative Companies list, which ranks the top 100 global companies according to their innovative practice.
Inclusion on the Forbes’ World’s Most Innovative Companies list is great achievement. Innovation, sustainability and energy-efficiency take top priority at Daikin globally and in Europe, this is demonstrated by the company’s development of innovative products and systems designed specifically for the European and Middle Eastern markets. These systems deal more efficiently with energy, release less CO2 and enable Daikin to respond to new market demands.
Forbes uses the “Innovation Premium” to rate organisations, based upon investors’ future expectations of innovation, including the development of new products, services and markets. Companies on the list must have $10 billion in market capitalisation and spend at least 2.5% on research and development.
In 2011, Daikin Europe established the EMEA Development Centre (EDC) at its headquarters in Ostend, Belgium. The EDC plays an essential role in developing innovative, energy-efficient alternatives to traditional heating solutions, for every possible climatic condition in Europe.
Daikin Industries Ltd leads the industry in HVAC-R systems worldwide: providing solutions for heating and cooling, ventilation and air conditioning. Products include energy-efficient heat pump technology and climate systems for the residential market, as well as cooling and freezer systems, chillers and air treatment solutions for professional and industrial environments.
