Daikin Europe N.V. gives 300 installers, developers and consultants a glimpse of VRV®’s future

On 3, 4 and 5 February, Daikin Europe N.V. organised its VRV® Days for developers, installers and consultants. The single-day event was repeated on three successive days, allowing a total participation of 300. The day consisted of a mix of seminars plus visits to pilot installations, test rooms and production lines, followed by a relaxing evening in historic Bruges.

The guests arrived the day before the event and were housed at one of two hotels in picturesque Bruges. There they were welcomed with a dinner in the evening. The following day they were picked up at the hotel for a day of seminars, visits and opportunities to network.
VRV®: from past to future success
Small groups were formed to attend the day’s six events, with a break in the middle for a business lunch. These events included a seminar on how VRV® grew historically from a niche product to an industry standard, and on the factors that contributed to its success then and now. This same seminar treated the effects on VRV® of growing environmental legislation, and what the driving factors of VRV® will be in the future. Seminar 2 dealt with the future of VRV®, more specifically VRV®III-Q (replacement VRV®) and CO2-based VRV®.

The four other events included visits to Daikin test rooms and other installations where a range of VRV® systems could be seen, sometimes operating in extreme conditions. There was also a controls & solutions presentation including support for hot water production and Biddle air curtains, as well as a factory tour, and an overview of the software tools and other support available to properly design a VRV® project.

At the end of the day, the guests were treated to an evening of entertainment, food and traditional Flemish fair games at Brewery Halve Maan, the only family brewery still active in Bruges.
